How Catholic Charities Helps
In 2016, Catholic Charities agencies served more than one million adults age 65 and older, reflecting close to 20 percent of all clients. In keeping with our mission to treat the whole person, Catholic Charities agencies across the country provide important preventative health services, home delivery meals, and other support services, to ensure that the aging remain vital members of our communities.
- 734,528 seniors received food and nutrition services
- 323,787 seniors received services including access to senior centers, caregiver support and transportation
- 165,487 at-risk seniors received support that included counseling, respite care, homebound care, adult day care and caregiver support, among others.
