Summary
As Congress and the Biden administration finalize priorities for the next COVID aid package, we ask that more funding be provided to ensure people remain housed, fed and healthy.
CCUSA asks Congress to consider, among other priorities:
- ensuring adequate resources to promote family and worker stability;
- supporting the healthcare safety net;
- bolstering support for immigrants and refugees; and
- establishing laws to punish predatory lenders.
The pandemic, with its gnawing impact on the economy, food security and housing availability, has had a particularly devastating effect on people who already were living in fragile environments.
