Catholic Charities USA Urges Members of the Conference Committee for the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to Include Several Critical Elements in Any Tax Reform

Catholic Charities USA wrote to the members of the Conference Committee for the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act urging them to include several critical elements in any tax reform: to prioritize relief for those living in poverty; to foster a culture of giving; to promote family stability; to expand affordable housing; to promote family economic opportunity; and to protect access to health care. CCUSA also asked members to reject the imposition of new excise taxes on Puerto Rico, which is still struggling to recover from the recent hurricanes.
