Starting hourly rate: $22.73
Position Description:
The position involves teaching adult ESOL and workforce development students. The instructor will create and implement lesson plans tailored to adult learners, aiming to improve their English language skills for better employment opportunities. This role emphasizes both language instruction and practical career skills development.
Position Responsibilities:
• Completing all grant deliverables, including creating and analyzing teacher and student surveys to measure program impact. Developing and implementing lesson plans for adult ESOL students focused on workforce development.
• Preparing instructional materials tailored to adult learners.
• Collaborating with volunteer assistant teachers for effective class delivery.
• Coordinating class activities, including student registrations and classroom setup.
• Monitoring and evaluating student progress and outcomes.
• Adjusting teaching methods based on student feedback and learning progress.
Other Duties:
• Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Fluency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in cross cultural communication, both written and oral.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience:
• AA or BA in education, social sciences, or an international field of study, and/or a TESOL certificate.
• One or more years of experience developing curriculum for classroom instruction.
• One or more years of teaching experience.
• Two or more years of experience working in a multi-cultural setting.
• Experience working with volunteers
• Knowledge of standards-based instruction.
