Program tailored to the values and unique needs of Catholic Charities agency leadership
Alexandria, Va. — Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) announces the launch of the “Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Management” in partnership with the University of San Diego, a top private Catholic institution. The program is tailored to the values and unique needs of leaders from the Catholic Charities network and is intended to enhance their management capabilities. The tuition for this program is 100% funded by the Healey Family Foundation.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of donors like the Healey Family who understand how important business management skills are to effectively run a nonprofit,” said Sister Donna Markham, OP, PhD, President and CEO of CCUSA. “This is a natural progression of offerings CCUSA provides for Catholic Charities leaders that cater to their unique values and specialized roles.”
The program draws on the University of San Diego’s accredited nonprofit management curriculum with additional elements customized to support strategic priorities and service areas specific to the Catholic Charities ministry. Through a blend of asynchronous work and synchronous interactions with fellow participants and faculty, the program will be primarily online, with an in-person capstone experience at the end.
The first cohort for this three-year program will begin in Fall 2022. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
