CCUSA asks Congress to support vulnerable people in budget package

Alexandria, Va. (September 3, 2021) – In a letter to congressional leadership this week, Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) urged policymakers to prioritize the needs of individuals and families struggling to make ends meet. The following priorities were highlighted:
· Affordable Housing | · Medicare Expansion |
· Child Tax Credit | · Nutrition Programs |
· Early Head Start | · Telehealth |
· Immigration Reform | · Universal Pre-K |
· Medicaid Gap Fix | · Workforce Development |
The list included support for nonprofits, charitable giving and the protection of human life as crucial areas to strengthen via the reconciliation bill. Read the full letter.
