CCUSA, USCCB support Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act of 2017

Catholic Charities USA and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops wrote a joint letter to the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary in support of the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act of 2017 (S.1917). The letter advocated in favor of comprehensive improvement to the U.S. criminal justice system. “Sentencing reform, along with prison and reentry program reform, are all critical components to a just and comprehensive criminal justice reform.” Read the full letter.
