CCUSA wrote a letter to the Senate urging the lawmakers to take up and pass PROMESA, the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act. The bill will allow the island to restructure its debt and continue to pay for needed social services. The House of Representatives passed the legislation with bipartisan support and robust language to address child poverty in Puerto Rico.
