CCUSA president and CEO responds to “Poverty, Opportunity, and Upward Mobility”

Responding to the release of “Poverty, Opportunity, and Upward Mobility,” Catholic Charities USA President & CEO, Sister Donna Markham OP, PhD commented, “Publication of this document raises awareness of the importance of addressing poverty, an issue that remains pervasive in our nation today. We welcome the opportunity to continue discussions concerning how Catholic Charities and other nonprofits can work with all levels of government to reduce, alleviate, and ultimately prevent poverty in America,” she continued.
