Week In Review – May 9, 2014

Earlier this week Catholic Charities received an award from the Corporation of National and Community Service (CNCS), for almost $200 thousand to help further our work ensuring that our military service members are never left behind. The grant will help continue our local member agencies’ work assisting military service members and Veterans transition back into civilian life. Specifically, these funds will help military service members and their families gain access to healthcare, social services, housing and employment opportunities. We expect the funding to assist approximately 825 Veterans and 125 military family members across the country.

CCUSA has a long history of assisting military service members and their families, and we are very fortunate to receive awards like this from CNCS that allow us to continue providing  necessary services.
